These are some of my favorite shots of our time with G.G. and Grandma Kathy when they visited us here in Texas last week. This time was extra special because our G.G.(great grandma) has been given a time line to live. She is currently on hospice care but remarkably doing very well. She was in good spirits when she was here and to her own astonishment and ours she could walk fairly well and went up and down our stairs pretty darn good. We were so proud of her. We also took her to SeaWorld! It was the best time. She had never been to a amusement park and loved and I MEAN LOVED seeing The Shamu Shows and Dolphins and Sealion Shows. She loved watching the kids and Grandma Kathy ride some roller coasters! That was so fun. Granma Kathy had not been on a rollercoaster for over 20 years! We got her to ride all of them and she had a great time too! We miss them and are a little sad. This time we had with G.G. will probably be our last time seeing her. Before Chris and the kids took her to the Airport she was sitting down in a chair and I nelt in front of her and told her how much I loved her and thanked her for being the grandma I never had. She cupped my face in her hands and told me that she loved me too and that we would probably not see each other again and she was ready to go see Poppa Richter ( her husband who passed away 5 years ago) and the Lord. That she was tired. Well I ofcourse started crying and she told me not to waste tears on her and too keep raising her grandchildren the way we are and take care of each other. Well when they all pulled away, I spent a hour bawling my eyes out. It was one of the hardest times I have had. Chris was very emotinal also but I think he is keeping his feeling at bay for now. He cried when we got the phone call that she wasn't well, however I am sure he is not giving himself the time to grieve yet. Anyway, I will add more photos for you all to see!
