Our Pictures of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Dolly as it hit by our house!

REALLY!!!!!!!! THIS IS WHY I WON'T MOVE TO FLORIDA! I DON'T LIKE HURRICANE'S EITHER!

No, we are fine. Scared me a bit when a tornado hit up the street from us and over at SeaWorld which is like 7 minutes from our house! One picture in the first square I zoomed into the tower over by SeaWorld as the Tornado touched down according to the news! Just as I was watching the news Chris called and so did our friends Evy, Sean who were listening to the same news as I was about the tornado. Yeah, so I scramble the kids up and lock all doors and go down to the first level of the house. WE have a full bath down stairs so I threw them in the bathtub and plugged in a radio grabbed candles and water and capri suns and we sat in the bathroom. It was pouring down rain. We got roughly 2 1/2 inches in less than an hour! As I sat in the bathroom listening for the all to familar sound of a tornado(one I have heard many times living in North Dakota as a child and Cheyenne, WY as a teen/young adult) I thought ok God, please just let it skip around us. I really don't think I can take us losing our house right now! It got really quite outside and that made me really nearvous but no sirens, no nothing! So I go out and look and its like slightly grey and the rain stopped and I hear nothing. I turn on the tv and watch as they said that Potranco and 1604 (for anyone who has been to our house, its by the Super Wal-Mart just up the road from our house) is flooded out and road is closed and a tornado touched down briefly and moved on. Thank goodness is all I can think.... Then some lady calls in on the news and says she lives by Portanco and 1604 and see's another rotation cloud in the sky! Back in the tub we go. It too thou passed over. The streets were flooded which I suspected and parts of San Antonio got hit really bad. Torn off roofs and down power lines so on and so forth but no one was hurt. Thank goodness. Chris was out at work at Lackland and they got hit too. They put into effect the emergency responce and put everyone in safe places and started taking head counts. They had sirens going off all over the place, were as us no wonder I heard none. We live on the outskirts of San Antonio, and my friend Evy said yeah they didn't build warning sirens for this part of San Antonio because it grew to fast! NICE!!!!!!!! I wondered why along with the stillness and quite I heard no sirens. It was creepy. Sami got some shots of Elijah who in between our tornado touch downs ran and got pillows and put them in the tub and decided that is where he was staying to stay safe. He is so funny. However, We are safe, no damage. Just a flooded yard. Now, I can live without anymore excitement like that for awhile......... Till the next one hits anyway. As Evy said Welcome to Hurricane Season in Texas. We are now offically broken in.
