Happy St. Patty's Day on The Riverwalk

On Thursday I managed to get Poppa sick:( and some of the kids started to have coughs and sniffles and Chris started coughing at night. So we cancelled our family photo shoot, and rested and Poppa and I started pounding the meds and vitamen C. It didn't really help me, but go figure. However, we ended up chillin again at home and made a dinner for everyone and scary movie night with the kids. Then Friday we hit up the Riverwalk. It was perfect outside. A little overcast with a breeze... not so darn hot! As Friday started the St. Patty's Festivies we all broke out our green and for those of us that didn't have green shirt wore white or what we were going to wear in pictures blue! We hit up the Alamo first and got a large horse and buggy and did the ride around town. Couldn't hear the guy talking but well, I sort of kicked back and closed my eyes or whispered at this point to Amy because my voice is still shot and I am still not feeling very good and enjoy the ride! Then once that was done we took them down to the Riverwalk and started walking it. We also got in the long lines for the Riverboat tour. We had the best boat captain. He was funny, and informative and it was so nice out. Lots of fun. Then we went to County Line BBQ and sat outside by the River and had dinner. It was so good, and so were the maragritas!!!! Great medicine for a sore throat!:)
Soon it was time to go down and get some seats for the St. Patty's Day Parade and dying of the River green and naming it The River Shannon. It was so much fun. Everyone got in the spirit of the day and wore hats and had a great time watching the River turn as green as the kids shirts! Poppa and Grandma and Aunt Amy and Uncle Mike and Niki had never seen Celtic dancers before and truly enjoyed watching these girls from age 5 to 19 dance. It was amazing and so cute and we had a great time. Then this nice guy seen I was trying to take a group photo and offered to take a picture of all of us. Yeah! We got one! What a great time we had. Then we headed home and watched another movie and everyone feel asleep and said their goodbyes as it was time for The Pearson Family to head home. My kids can't stop talking about how  much fun they had and We Thank Poppa and Grandma for everything. I am so glad Chris got to spend such good quality time with his sister and brother and be with his whole family. We all truly just enjoyed ourselves outside of getting sick! Could I have picked a worse time for that????? Thank you for coming, we love you all and next time lets not go 2 years again!
