This is Chris's Grandfather, the kids great-grandfather. As you can see by a side by side view he is not well. The one of him with his roses was from 2 1/2 years ago when we were traveling thru from Alaska to Texas. He looked good even thou he was sick then. Awhile ago, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and beat it. It has returned and spread. He has very low energy and experiencing memory loss. He long term memory is still with him but anything new he has a hard time with. Grandma Tina told us that he doesn't like to drink water so he tends to get dehydrated some and is down to 188 pounds. What is also sad is that life long friends have stopped coming around to see him and visit him. They were always very social people but as Grandma Tina said, people don't know what to say or how to act when people are sick so they stop asking or calling or coming around. That makes me very sad to hear. If we lived closer we would go over all the time to see him and I know the kids would cheer him right up. He even recently had quad-bypass heart surgery and made it threw that. So we a lot of prayer and hopefully grace, Poppa will pull threw this as well. I ask all who read this to say a little prayer for him when you say your prayers today. WE would be very thankful. We love you Poppa and we will give you a call tomorrow. Or call us when your up and about and feeling well enough to talk.
